This story will show how important grandparents are to kids. It will also instill a joy of solitude and nature in a child, which is wonderful given our busy, noisy and distracted world where kids have little time to just be quiet and close to family and commune with nature in all its gracious beauty.

I read The Pinecone Walk today and we take Nature Walks every Wednesday- today 2 students found feathers as their treasure for the day in their box. Thank you for writing such a beautiful book. We also made Pinecone peanut butter bird feeders.
It made my day, Barbara Springfield, author of "The Pinecone Walk" and "Kate, Wait!"
