HERE'S WHAT THEY ARE SAYING ABOUT HALO PUBLISHING...

So what are people saying about Halo Publishing? Take a look to the right.

tes⋅ti⋅mo⋅ni⋅al: "a written declaration certifying to a person's character, conduct, or qualifications, or to the value, excellence, etc., of a thing; a letter or written statement of recommendation."

Good thing about email..... You just have to type. I'm not sure I could get a full sentence out right now. Perhaps only a few words. And to you, they would be 'thank you'.
I had this idea. Never sure where it would go. It is so very personal, this tragedy. Somehow I was able to hand it over. I was about to let others see into my world. I had no idea this is where it would take me. I can barely see through my tears. I have to keep reminding myself I did this. At this moment, with the book in my hand, I have tears of joy. I had almost forgotten what that was. Every single thing I have been through in the last 4 and 1/2 years was worth it to have this feeling I have right now.

A 2 year old boy, about 15 minutes from our home, just lost his leg from a lawnmower accident. His parents are just now beginning the journey I resisted. As I hand the book over to his parents, I will be overcome with sadness , but, pride. I did something that just might make their journey a little easier. This is my hope and I will do it with strength.
Thank you, thank you, thank you,
Jennifer Fura, Author of "Scotty's Way"

Writing a book is as easy as telling a story. HPI breathes life into it!
I found the people at Halo Publishing to be as passionate about my story as I am. They’ve treated me with great respect and professionalism from the very beginning. From the first query through publication, marketing and beyond Halo professionals have mentored me every step of the way. Their combined years of hands-on experience in the children’s literary industry coupled with their genuine concern for my success placed me in the best position as a new author. They’ve given me the confidence in my writing as well as in my marketing skills to make “Auntie’s House” a success.

Dawn Aldrich, Author of “Auntie’s House”

"I know I chose the right company to help me understand the complex process of publishing and marketing. You have really helped me to think outside the box. Thank you for doing such a great job on assisting me to launch my book -- I really appreciate your professionalism."
Libbi Chilia, Author of "Imagine...Amazing Me"

"I had begun to despair - between knowing more than some publishers or feeling like I was just a potential source of cash flow for them. Then I was introduced to HPI.  Wow!  Lisa bowled me right over with her knowledge, enthusiasm and honesty as regards my book.  She has held my hand to make things happen in an orderly, timely fashion..."
Catherine Seress, Author of "The Secret Language of the Heart"

"I thank God for your interest in my book.  Never writing a book before, the coaching offered is valued beyond words. You are a pleasure to work with and I appreciate the personal touch and professionalism.
Brenda Latimer, Author of “I See God”

"Publishing and marketing can be a big mystery and a difficult process, but not for me. Halo took me through step by step, considered all my questions and answered ones I didn't even know I had. I feel confident knowing that my publisher was first an author herself."
Natalie Friedl, Author of "Help Me Pray Today"

"Halo Publishing International matched my passion and energy and brought their unlimited knowledge, creativity, and commitment to excellence to the mix.  They guided me through a very emotional and exciting challenge in helping me bring my dream to print.  I was  continually motivated to improve my work until it represented my very best effort, which has resulted in high praise from critics and the media and more importantly to be embraced by children, families, and schools everywhere. Thank you again Halo for all that you did.  With a planned series of 8-10 books in mind, I look forward to working with you again and again."  Without hesitation or qualification..."Halo is the very best!"
Gary Consilio, Author of "Zollie Goes West"

As in life finding “trust” combined with a “can do” attitude is an unlikely commodity. With Lisa and Halo Intl. they have “IT”.  “It” being; trust, wealth of knowledge, creativity, honesty and a proven successful track record.  Lisa’s personal mission and enthusiasm is mirrored with confidence. I am proud to be affiliated with Halo Publishing Intl. - Lisa and her team go way beyond a “typical” job description.
Sue Lundquist, Author of "I’m Thankful"

"I have always had the dream of writing a book about animals. Halo Publishing made that dream come true. With the help and guidance of Lisa Umina, I was able to share  my "wild" world with children of all ages. This has been a wonderful, exciting, and educational experience for me..."

Jungle Bob Tuma, Author of "BobTails"

"When I first started down this road, I did not know what to expect. I did, however, know what I wanted. I poured my heart and soul into my manuscript. That in itself does not make a book worth publishing. The next step was the review process. Lisa was respectful and encouraging without making unrealistic promises. Once the interview process and review committee concluded that this was a project worth pursuing, we worked together to make my vision and Lisa's expertise come together in an outstanding looking product. The Way of the Toddler is not just a book I love because I wrote it. It is a book I love because Lisa Umina and Halo led me down the publishing Yellow Brick Road and helped me find my way home. I am the author I always dreamed of being. Thanks, Lisa. Thank you, Halo."
Leta Hamilton, Author of "The Way of The Toddler”

The desire to be a published book author has been a journey of decades for me. Fifteen to twenty years ago, I was at the mercy of the publishing houses and the almost insurmountable odds of even getting my idea in the door to be heard. Nothing but rejections followed.

Like many things, that has changed with today's technology (digital printing, the internet etc.). Today, in truly entrepreneurial form, if someone has the wherewithal, modicum of knowledge and reasonable funds to do so, you can bring your book to fruition and market. For the majority however, this is an unknown path and that's where publishers like Lisa and Halo are invaluable. Lisa and her company are an author's lighthouse providing that beacon to guide them through the challenging process.

Most importantly, Lisa provides a network of resources that are difficult to come by on ones own. I should know. I was days away from signing with an illustrator who although competent, came nowhere close to rendering on paper the visions in my head realized by the illustrator Lisa suggested. With hard work and a novel business plan, I will realize my goals as an author and I'm glad Lisa and Halo are there with me.
John Ordosch, Author of "Hate Can Wait"

My experience with Halo Publishing has been extraordinary from the very first contact. Lisa Umina is an exceptional and rare person in both business and publishing. Not only does her company offer a very unique product to authors, but personally she brings a surprising level of flexibility, candor, and genuine caring. I am very blessed that God led me to Halo!
